  • Abstract
    Social skills is the general name for the individual ability to adapt to and within society, the attitude, behaviour and ideas that individuals present in order to set up positive communication among people. The achievement of social skills begins with the early years of life and continues throughout the whole life learning. The social skills which are quite essential for strong social constiuctions should not be random. Social skills should be taught in on organized way in the education system and children should be provided chances to practice these skills in daily life. The education of social skills should not only be the responsibility of teachers, but it should also concern parents and people living in the close environment. Families as well as teachers should be active in the process of teaching children social skills. This paper presents social skills the importance of the development of social skills in children and the position and effect of the familiy, schools and the enviroment in teaching social skills.
