Abstract
Cement-bonded wood particleboard is widely used especially in construction sector because of it is strength for moisture, sound and heat insulation and resistance towards fungi and insects. In the areas it is used, cement-bonded wood particleboard is exposed to various weather conditions such as rain and sun, therefore its mechanical features changes. In this study, modulus of rupture (MOR), modulus of elasticity (MOE) and surface vertical screw holding strength of the cement-bonded wood particleboards having different moisture values are measured. The highest values of MOR, MOE and surface vertical screw holding strength are found in air-dried moisture levels. It was shown that decreases in the relevant mechanical features by increasing or decreasing in the moisture levels.
