Abstract
The primary aim of this study is to invastigate of link the job satisfaction and experienced burnout of the teachers at primary and secondary equivalent schools. The second aim is to study whether the exhaustion levels of teachers, who participated in the study with job satisfaction differ or not according to which socio-demografic variables. “Job Identification Scale” which was constituted by Smith, Kendall and Hulin (1969) is used in the study due to measure job satisfaction level. On the other hand, vocational burnout is evaluated with ‘Maslach Burnout Inventory’ which was developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) A socio-demographic questionary takes part in this study too. The application is performed among 224 teachers who work in primary and secondary schools in Kemalpaşa town of İzmir. In this study, the link has reported between job satisfaction, burn-out and socio-demografic variables.
