Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the mediating effect of social intelligence on the effect of life satisfaction on job satisfaction in municipal employees. According to the easy sampling method, the data obtained by surveying the employees in Giresun center and various district municipalities were analyzed. A total of 255 employees from Giresun center and various district municipalities participated in the questionnaire, and after to be eliminated to incorrect and incomplete questionnaires and then 252 questionnaires were analyzed. Participants were asked to respond to 9 demographic factors, 5 about life satisfaction, 14 about job satisfaction, and 21 statements on social intelligence. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 24 program, Amos 24 program and Process macro. As a result of regression analysis there is positive effect on life satisfaction, job satisfaction and social intelligence and also determined positive and meaningful effect on social intelligence and job satisfaction too. As a result of the study, it was observed that social intelligence had a partial mediating effect on the effect of life satisfaction on job satisfaction.
