Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to examine the misconceptions in the subject of pressure of the seventh- grade students in terms of mathematical errors. The study, in which the survey model was adopted, was conducted with a total of 200 students at the seventh-grade level. As a data collection tool, Pressure Conceptual Measurement Tool prepared in three-tier was used. Descriptive statistical techniques were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the descriptive analysis, it was determined that students conceptual understanding levels on the pressure concept were very low and they had nine different misconceptions. When the misconceptions were examined in terms of mathematical errors, it was determined that four of them were scientific, four of them are integrated and one is the operational error. In the light of the results that obtained from the research, increasing interdisciplinary cooperation, coordination progress of areas and informing teachers about this issue were presented as a proposal.
