Abstract
This study, which examined the relationship between mentoring functions and teacher self-efficacy perceptions, was conducted in the Faculty of Education of Fırat University in the academic year of 2014-2015. According to the results of the study, pre-service teachers think that practice teachers partially fulfill their mentoring functions. Teachers, however, see themselves adequately on teacher self-efficacy. In addition, no significant relationship was found between mentoring functions and teacher self-efficacy perceptions. As a result of this, it is observed that there is a problem in the quality of the mentoring service given to the pre-service teachers in the application schools. It is necessary to increase the quality of the mentoring service provided in the practice schools. In order to increase the quality, mentor teachers should be selected from mentors who are willing and able to mentor. Mentor training should be given to the practice teachers.
