Abstract
The purpose of the study is to examine the volleyball lessons that are conducted with the Play Practice (PP) and teacher-centered instruction (TCI) in terms of learning outcomes. In this experimental study, the sample group consisted of university first-year students. Volleyball Knowledge Test, Attitude Scale Against Volleyball Lesson and Volleyball Skill Test were used in obtaining the data. Independent samples t test and mann whitney u test were used for data analysis. Significant differences were found in the cognitive scores of the groups in favor of PP. While there was no difference between the two approaches in the emotional dimension scores, only a significant difference was found in favor of PP among service scores from the psychomotor skill elements. According to the results, the use of PP by teachers as teaching approach is thought to provide significant contributions to the Physical Education field.
