Abstract
Mobbing can be described as the continuous and systematic exposure of hostile attitude at work by a group of people to a single person (humiliation, gossiping, questioning personal competence, threatening, defamation etc.) and as a result victims’ health is negatively affected by these behaviors. The aim of this study is to examine perception of primary school teachers about mobbing behaviors that parents impose on and ways of coping with these behaviors through qualitative research. Semi-structured interviews conducted with 5 teachers at each class level, total of 20 teachers. Criteria sampling method used to collect data. Descriptive analysis technique used to analyze the research data. According to research findings, it was determined that most of the primary school teachers who participated to the study were mobbing victims. The responses given to the reasons for their exposure to mobbing were identified as person-based and institutional behaviors by primary teachers. Besides, it was determined that the health of the primary school teachers deteriorated who exposed to mobbing behaviors.
