Abstract
Personality can be defined as consistent behavior patterns and intrapersonal processes that involve the fixed characteristics and behavioral patterns that determine the individual s harmony with the environment. In both the mass media and the academic community, interest in ethical and unethical behaviors of leaders increased It is a fact that ethical leadership is systematically explored with a descriptive and predictive social scientific perspective. For this reason, it has been tried to contribute to the understanding of the premises of ethical leadership by investigating the relationship between the principals personality traits and ethical leadership. The purpose of this research is to measure the effects of adjectives-based personality types on ethical leadership performance. In order to select the sampling method, maximum diversity method was preferred. The sample of the study consisted of 113 secondary education administrators. Bacanlı et al. (2009) developed personality scale based on adjectives and Ethics leadership scales developed by Yılmaz (2006). As a result of linear regression analysis, communicative ethic dimension from five- dimensional personality characteristics to extraversion, compatibility and openness to experience; extroversion, openness to experience, climatic ethics of emotional balance personality types; It was concluded that the behavioral ethics of the responsibility type feature and the responsibility and compliance personality sub-dimensions significantly affect the ethics of decision-making.
