Abstract
The main aim of the research is to present the views of secondary school teachers about accountability perceptions and about their managers’ level of servant leadership behavior and to determine the level of relationship that emerges in the participants’ views about variables. The study was prepared using relational screening model and applied on teachers who work in Secondary Schools in Bolu in 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of 304 teachers working in these secondary schools. The study data were collected by the teacher accountability scale and the school principals servant leadership levels scale. According to the results, it was found out that the secondary school teachers’ perception of accountability was “very agree”, and the managers’ level of servant leadership behaviour according to the teachers opinions was “often”. Teachers accountability perceptions do not differ significantly in all variables (gender, educational level, seniority, age); teachers perceptions about their managers’ levels of servant leadership behavior showed a significant difference in the gender variable only; other variables (educational level, age, seniority) did not show a significant difference. It was found out that there is a weak positive relationship between teachers’ accountability and their level of servant leadership perception.
