Abstract
For a radiating linear antenna, the loading of
appropriate impedances at
specified locations can lead to: 1) producing
desired currents at
specified points along the antenna, 2) producing
desired radiation fields in
specified directions, 3) maintaining desired input impedances at
different frequencies, or 4) any linear combination of cases 1), 2), and 3). With
pure reactive loadings, only
values of antenna characteristics can be specified. A method was developed to solve the nonlinear equations in the analysis.
