  • Abstract
    The optimization of the shape and size of the inductive shape meter for rolling mills is considered. For this purpose it is desired to know the influence of geometric, material, and process-dependent parameters. To reduce the cost of experimental work, numerical calculations were performed, and some experiments were done to check these theoretical results. The numerical predictions show good agreement with measured values
