Abstract
The influence of annealing on piezomagnetic /or stress/ sensitivity of the magnetostrictive Al-Co-Fe alloys containing from 12 to 14% Al and to 3% Co is discussed. The samples were annealed in H2 for two hours at different temperatures ranging from 750 do 1300°C and subsequently slowly cooled in a furnace. The optimum annealing temperature for maximum values of d is in the range from 1000°C to 1300°C depending on chemical composition and sample thickmess. The values of d are above 20 nWb/N.
