  • Abstract
    Alternating Co and Nb layers forming compositionally modulated films are investigated by ferromagnetic resonance and magnetometry. Properties significantly differing from pure Co are found. The layered structure gives rise to new surface magnon type excitations with frequencies characteristically determined by the composition of the stack. They are measured by in elastic light scattering and compared with numerically evaluated theoretical predictions.
