Abstract
The authors have discovered a novel phasing scheme which achieves far lower peak-to-average power ratios (PAPRs) for multitone signals than existing methods. The new scheme is based on minimising the fluctuation in the average power level in the instantaneous envelope power of multitone signals. For over 11-tone signals, the obtained PAPR is <1.4 dB. This is over 1.2 dB better than any value yet reported
