Abstract
Simulation of nuclear weapons effects has been the main motivation for pulse power development in the U.S. in the last decade. EMP simulation has been responsible for a major class of pulse power systems. A general survey of pulse power techniques is given, focusing of those particularly applicable for EMP simulation. This is followed by brief descriptions of several representative simulators.
