Abstract
A computer model is described for predicting the magnetic domain pattern in magnetic thin films with uniaxial anisotropy, given the material geometry, the material characteristics and the applied field. The domain pattern and magnetization distribution are determined by using energy minimization principles. Triangular finite elements are used to calculate the resulting field distribution.
