Abstract
A formulation of electromagnetic scattering problems involving a penetrable inhomogeneous scatterer is presented. The formulation combines the concepts of invariant imbedding and surface equivalent currents with the method of moments. It effectively circumvents the problem of intractable matrix size which has been a major deterrent in the past.
