Abstract
We have investigated an adaptive reliability-based iterative soft-decision Reed-Solomon decoding algorithm using belief propagation and we propose a reduced-complexity version of this algorithm. We discuss implementation and performance evaluation of these algorithms on magnetic recording channels.
