Abstract
The paper solves a 3D magnetostatic problem in a cylindrical bipolar system of coordinates by separation of variables. The analytical solution applies to the field area between two nonconcentric cylindrical surfaces located in a close proximity to each other. The paper applies the method to the calculation of the magnetic field of a tubular linear permanent-magnet machine with an off-centered rotor and to the analysis of the field of a two-roller magnetizing fixture.
