  • Abstract
    An Intelligent Graphics and Alphanumerics VLSI Co-Processor, named GAP, designed for a wide range of powerful yet cost effective applications will be described. More than usual graphics peripherals, GAP is a true processor with DMA capabilities which fetches and executes whole instruction lists, using control, checking and processing intelligence plus optimized on-chip hardware and algorithms. GAP is packaged in a low cost 68-pin PLCC.
