Abstract
Magnetic field-annealing of ferromagnetic amorphous alloys has been used as a means of inducing unaxial anisotropy for many years. However, many ferromagnetic amorphous ribbons (Fe-rich) may become brittle after field-annealing. That is the problem for some applications. It is suggested that we can get better soft magnetic properties by Field Quenching Technique-magnetic field is applied during quenching process-without deteriorating their mechanical properties. The induced magnetic anisotropy and mass susceptibility were improved in our experiment.
