  • Abstract
    Self-times systems will have a major role in integrated circuit design in the future. The authors´ analysis show that, using current technology, the area penalities outweigh the advantages for all but a few circuit types and circuit feature sizes must be scaled down further before self-timed systems come into widespread use.
