Abstract
Snow hydrology research conducted as part of the AgRISTARS Conservation and Pollution Project was reviewed along with other relevant studies. The major areas of emphasis were visible snow cover analysis, snowmelt-runoff modeling, and microwave snow investigations. Results from these areas of investigation were very positive and contributed greatly to our scientific understanding. Based on the AgRISTARS results, specific components of additional snow research have been defined that will permit future operational applications.
