Abstract
A method for remotely monitoring missile or payload attitude is described. This technique uses a coherent laser radar as the measurement instrument and retro-reflectors mounted on the remote target to produce an interference on the returned carrier Doppler, which can be interpreted to provide very accurate target oscillation rate, excursion, and period.<>
