Abstract
Approximate techniques for the design and optimisation of millimetre wave grooved targets have been developed. Computer programs have been written using these techniques which enable the attenuation and angular reflection patterns of such targets to be predicted. The computed results are compared with experimental data obtained from test targets by the use of a specially designed 94 GHz reflectometer. Several conclusions of general relevance to the design of grooved targets are presented
