Abstract
An antitaping system for cable pay-per-view services that utilizes the timing and servo control differences between a TV and VCR is described. This system allows movies or event programming to be shown on a television set but be rendered unrecordable by video tape recording devices. Attention is given to the system theory, the hardware design, the distribution configuration of the system, and its field testing
