Abstract
Effective project control depends on comparing, at a specific time, the planned values of project progress and project cost with the corresponding actual values. Actual project cost is periodically available from the accountants. But measuring actual project progress is always difficult; and especially so between project milestones, which rarely align with the accounting cycle. The article develops and illustrates a simple solution to this problem.<>
