Abstract
Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems have been used by the manufacturing and process industries and many electric power utilities for energy management systems, including economic dispatch and the interconnection pricing of energy. However, the use of SCADA in smaller power generation systems is not quite so widespread. This article explains how a SCADA system was custom developed for a standby power generation system recently installed in a commercial office building.<>
