Abstract
In the above correspondence (ibid., vol.COM-34, no.12, p.1253-6, Dec. 1986), throughput bounds are derived for the IEEE 802-4 token passing scheme, in the presence of a single class of messages. It does not consider the fact that even after the token holdtimer expires, a node is allowed to complete its message transmission. Here, the fact is considered, and the upper bounds on throughput are modified.<>
