Abstract
Numerical electromagnetic field analysis is conducted to calculate AC losses in twisted multifllamentary YBCO coated conductors with non-uniform electric properties, including those with non-uniform lateral Jc distributions and those with superconducting bridges between filaments. For the former, the influence of a combination of the transverse resistance between filaments and the Jc distributions on the current distribution and AC loss characteristics is studied. For the latter, the influence of the location and number of bridges on the current distribution and AC loss characteristics is studied.
