Abstract
Ni/Au superlattices have been prepared by evaporation and their properties studied. The magnetization decreases with t (Ni) and the analysis at 5 K shows the absence of a dead layer. The surface anisotropy is negative and the samples show in-plane magnetization. Both Kerr and Faraday rotations decrease strongly with t (Ni) mostly due to a decrease in the Curie temperature
