  • Abstract
    A method is investigated to design the magnetizing fixture of a ring magnet used in a two-axis optical gyroscope by using magnetic analysis. The magnetic field distribution of the ring magnet can be controlled by the magnetic circuit of the magnetizing fixture. The radial magnetic field distribution of the ring magnet with smooth sine wave is suitable for the application of a two-axis optical gyroscope. The peak value of magnetic field strength for an Alnico six ring magnet is in the range of 1200 to 1300 G
