  • Abstract
The chain of spheres model is rederived for the case of two spheres. In addition, uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy with respect to the chain axis taken into account. The jump field distribution is determined analytically; it turns out that the crossover between the two reversal mechanisms-fanning and coherent rotation-can also be given analytically. The results are compared with those of other authors, and are found to correspond with them.
