  • Abstract
A method of determining the power capacity of a loudspeaker is submitted which is based upon the departure from linearity of acoustic output versus electrical input curves using octave bands of thermal noise. The method is being considered for inclusion in a new Standard which is being prepared by the Committee on Electroacoustics of the IRE, W. D. Coodale, Chairman. Comments of interested readers are solicited.
