Abstract
A questionnaire was distributed in March 1992 to all electrical engineering department heads affiliated with the National Electrical Engineering (EE) Department Heads Association (NEEDHA). The questionnaire concentrated on total degree requirements as well as freshman year and sophomore year EE credit hour and laboratory requirements. Information provided by the 125 responding departments is summarized in this paper. In addition, courses in 25 EE curricula of schools throughout the United States were reviewed. The number of required EE course credits in 11 subject categories are presented for these programs
