  • Abstract
    A method for measuring the series resistance of a solar cell recently proposed by Araujo and Sanchez [1] is compared with that proposed by Wolf and Rauschenbach [2]. It is shown that the former method is accurate only for cells with very low Rsand operating under high illumination conditions. The latter method is able to determine Rsat any particular operating point of the I-V characteristic without a prior knowledge of the other parameters, provided these parameters are independent of illumination.
