  • Abstract
    With current measurement techniques, it is impossible to directly observe the traveling wave on the basilar membrane over its entire length. Treating the mechanical propagation as a pure conduction delay, the travel time to a particular region can be inferred from the phase-frequency characteristics of the neural response.
