Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of implementing a projection operator in a cellular architecture that operates as a vector pipeline. The problem of projecting an n-dimensional vector onto an m-dimensional subspace is described, and a solution is derived from the normal equations. A sequence of Given´s rotations is used to factor the projection operator, leading to an efficient cellular implementation of the projection operator. The cellular architecture enjoys a number of structural invariants.
