1981 ASSP Awards nominations

Nominations are solicited from members of the ASSP Society for the 1981 awards to be presented at the 1982 ICASSP in Paris, France. The awards and their associated criteria follow. ASSP Society Award: To honor a person who has made outstanding technical contributions in a field within the scope of the Society and who has provided outstanding leadership in that field. Technical Achievement Award: To honor a person who, over a period of years, has made uutstanding technical contributions within the scope of the Society as documented by publications or patents. Senior Award: To honor a person who is an author of a paper (published in the year ending June 1981) of exceptional merit dealing with a subject related to the Society´s technical scope, and appearin~ in the Society´s TRANSACTIONS, irrespective of the author´s age. ASSP Paper Award: To honor a person who is the author of an especially meritorious paper (published in the year ending June 1981) dealing with a subject related to the Society´s technical scope appearing in the Society´s TRANSACTIONS; and who upon date of submission of the paper was less than 30 years of age. Meritorious Service Award: To honor a person on the basis of significant contributions to the Society´s efforts.
