  • Abstract
    A novel STM-SQUID probe hybrid microscope using a high- TC rf SQUID magnetometer was fabricated to improve the spatial resolution and system controllability. We successfully observed topographic and magnetic images of Ni thin film microline or microdot patterns at the same time. The spatial resolution of the magnetic images was found to be about 1 mum.
