  • Abstract
The first in-the-ear antenna with a path gain between the ears that is high enough for ear-to-ear communication with a standard Bluetooth chip has been demonstrated in this issue of Electronics Letters by collaborating researchers from the Technical University of Denmark and GN Resound A/S in Denmark. The 2.45 GHz antenna, which is very simple, small and compact in its design, could be implemented in hearing aids to improve their capability to restore hearing. It also has the potential to be connected to off-body accessories such as phones and TV streaming devices.
