Abstract
This paper reports experimental results of radio propagation characteristics both in an underground street and in corridors in a large building. Measurements were carried out on horizontal and vertical polarization characteristics on the propagation loss in a frequency range from 200 MHz to 12.4 GHz. The influence of pedestrians on the attenuation constant is also measured in the underground street. It is shown from experiments that there are optimum frequency bands for the minimum attenuation constant in these structures.
