Abstract
The effect of initial weight values on the transient characteristics is investigated on three kinds of adaptive arrays under different principles, i.e., the directionally constrained minimization of power (DCMP), the least mean square (LMS), and the maximum signal-tonoise ratio (MSN). Analysis and computer simulation demonstrate how the convergence rate is affected by the initial setting. The best choice of the initial value is given.
