Abstract
A DPSK polarisation diversity receiver comprising novel switching-demodulators and maximal-ratio combining is investigated and tested in a 100 Mbit/s transmission system. The dynamic range of the demodulators is about 15 dB and the maximum performance degradation is 1 dB compared with receivers with polarisation control.
