Abstract
Adaptive mesh generation involves the improvement of the finite elements solution on the basis of the error estimates by either refining the mesh (h-type refinement), or improving the trial function (p-type refinement), or both methods in conjunction. In this paper these methods are described. The Delaunay method is employed to implement the initial and adaptive mesh. The error criterion used is based on discontinuities of the magnetic field or the flux density between neighboring elements. An electrical device is simulated to validate the methods
