Abstract
The prediction of electrical parameters of the squirrel cage induction motor by numerical field solution using finite element method is presented. Here core saturation and eddy current effect in rotor bars are considered in analysis. So the different parameters can be calculated at any operating point. The electrical model obtained by 2D formulation is complemented by the 3D calculation of the end rings effect of the rotor cage
