Abstract
Dr. Robert Dennard was honored in a dinner ceremony at Philadelphia\´s Benjamin Franklin Institute on 27 April 2007 by Dr. Peter J. Collings, Past Chairman of the Institute\´s Committee on Science and the Arts, and Dr. Dennis M. Wint, President and CEO, for "inventing the 1-transistor/1-capacitor Dynamic Random Access Memory that significantly reduced the cost of memory, and for contributing to the development of the metal oxide semiconductor scaling principle that guides the design of increasingly small and complex integrated circuits."
