  • Abstract
    The determination of threshold of coron7aand breakdmcn voltage of ring-metal structure electrode gaps and electric field strength on the surface of the frames will render an assistance to a more accurate design of the external insulation of high voltage electric appa. ratus. The charge simulation method provides values on the field strength on the surface of the shielding ring and on the earthed structures with a high accuracy; the cal] culated values were confirmed by measurements.
