Abstract
The increasingly widespread use of cellular telephones - and the limited knowledge concerning the possible adverse health effects of a microwave emitter situated near the head of a cell-phone user - had prompted many to urge that research be conduct to ascertain the health risk to the cellphone user, if any exists. This column reports on a multiyear, international research effort - the Interphone Project - as it approach its final phase.
